Just thinking about Luke today….

24 Aug

And how excited he must be to leave the transition home, and come

home.  To his new family.

And to see again his two buddies from his orphan home

Samuel and Joseph, Luke’s friends already home with their families, both live just blocks away from us.

I know he will be so excited when he first gets here.

Everything is new, so new.

I want to always point him to Christ and God his heavenly Father.  That this is God’s doing.

I want to always remind him that it is God who has named our family, bringing us altogether, from all over the globe.

Praise God.

I will never forget how much he liked to look at our family photos. We asked through a translator if he wanted us to go outside and play with the rest of the children. He said no, he’d like to be alone with mom and dad…looking at the photos he very quietly said, “good family” and smiled. Chris put his hand on Lukes chest, his arm around his shoulder and said, “your family”. We showed him a photo of his grandparents and he spoke again “ah! thank you!”(remember he only said maybe 10 words the whole 2 days we were with him!!) We are coming for you son! and your family cannot wait to have you home.

Your blog blesses me every time I read it. Beth Jones is a dear friend of mine here in Nashville, and she passed on this blog a while back. I grew up with Chris and the Jones family at ECC in Jackson. Thank you for sharing your life stories. I learn so much. You have a beautiful family.
