what a day!!

9 Oct

The day started out at 2:40 am

My brother-in-law drove me to the airport.

said good-bye…wanted to cry…

i was missing my girl already.

fly to DC with lots of excitement,

fear, anticipation and joy.

yes…this was the trip i was going to

get my boy.

what would it be like?

would had be glad to see me?

would he run to my outstretched arms?

does he know that i am his “Daddy?”

I take him in my arms with tears down my face….this

is my boy. this is my boy.  you are with me now…by God’s amazing grace.

I know that Laura is dying right now.  I know that she misses up both.

We will be home soon, dear.  I cannot wait to hold you in my arms.

As I am writing you…our little son just climbed in my lap…

in his quiet sweet little voice…i could barely hear him…

he says, “I love you, Dad.”

I am so thankful for my son.

Have a blessed day.

Chris

Oh I am so glad you posted this, I am crying over here. What a precious gift, that sweet little heart finally home in dad’s arms. THIS IS THE GOSPEL, it doesn’t get any better than that. Can’t wait for pictures.

I’m reminded 1 John 4:19: we love because He first loved us. Blessings to you all!
