lainee GRACE 11:25pm

2 Jun

Lainee is resting

thank you for the out pouring of prayers and calls, visits, emails etc.  thankyou

God is so faithful and I sense His great love for our girl.

We do not have answers yet.  Many many unknowns. Doctors here in the PICU are not resting, they are working around the clock for Lainee and we feel so thankful to be here.

What We don’t know

God knows

She is sleeping

God is not sleeping

Some things we know:

Lainee has been bleeding internally, vomiting blood for almost 24 now, off and on.

She is in a LOT of pain.

Her liver is not working correctly

Her blood is not clotting

He blood pressure is too HIGH, giving meds now…

Her blood sugar cannot be maintained at a healthy level, drops on its own.

We had a great, encouraging report from her thalassemia doctor in chicago last month so this is surprising to us all.

we will keep you updated as best as we can.

Chris and I will NOT leave her side tonight.

We are so thankful for Lainee Grace.  SHe is a little light.  Her name means LIGHT!

I was reminded today of a conversation I had with a doctor I consulted with one month before we brought Lainee and Zinnia home.  She said, “why would you bring them home to die?”

God reminded me of His great great love for his children. He brought Zinnia and  her here

TO LIVE. ETERNALLY.   TO gain and understanding of her loving heavenly father.  JESUS. That is what matters most.  In that we are secure.

Jesus holds her.  She knows that and loves him.

We are trusting and thankful for His goodness.

Hopeful for answers by morning~

So glad for updates and praying with such a heavy heart for you all! The words to “’tis so sweet to trust in Jesus” have been in my head from church today as I’ve been praying for you! “oh, for grace to trust HIM more!” Praying for you as you rest in HIs promises! Praying for the pain and peace for your sweet little girl!

So thankful you and Chris took that step of faith years ago to bring sweet Lainie and Zinnea home! I can’t imagine her going through this without a devoted family fighting, praying for her. She is loved by so many. Thank you for showing us what the Father’s love looks like… he is our advocate!

His mercies are new every morning – God give Laura eyes to see your mercies this morning, bless her heart with thankfulness through the storm today.
Weeping remains for the night, but joy comes in the morning – God give Laura and Chris and Lainee joy this morning.

I only know your three girls and only one of them well, but they are the cutest, funniest, girls God could make. My son, Van was in Mimi’s class this year and she is so sweet and polite and funny and Lainee is in the grade between my kindergartener and my son – so both kids know her. We all prayed last night for Dr.s to have wisdom, for you all to feel God present and holding you close and for a clear and direct diagnosis. We will continue to pray. I am thankful Mr. Burgess sent a note out and we feel blessed to be a part of prayers for your family.
