Lainee GRACE 8:50 pm lurie children’s

IMG_4239The presence of God is in this place.

I have so much information running through my head, and I’m tired.

Today was much like the two before.  Several specialists in and out. in and out.  They have much more information to gather before they will be able to tell us what is happening with Lainee.

The  priority today was to stabilizer her, “life saving”.   She has quite the “wide load” set up as you can see.  Today we focused on trying to figure out where Lainee was bleeding from internally.  Praise God the source was found.

Lainee has several good sized ulcers in her upper intestine, leading down from the stomach.   This explains the blood she has vomitted but they believe this could possibly be caused from the stress of the seizure, which was a long seizure.  But God knows.

They cleaned her out and we pray for comfort, she is no longer bleeding, on her own her blood is not clotting right now.

We saw Dr. Alexis Thompson today who is the head hemotologist, she has enjoyed treating Lainee and Zinnia at our thal clinic days and like us was surprise to see Lainnee in this condition.  She is best of the best thalassemia-wise.

There is so much happening and so many possibilities.  It feels a bit overwhelming, honestly, but I know God knows all.  I’ve been trying to take notes when the doctors come to talk but I can’t even write fast enough, nodding my head.  Bottom line again, today, “we just dont know yet”,  as for  liver disease or liver failure we do not know yet. God knows and we are confident he will reveal more when we are ready to receive more.  thank you visitors.  both of my little brothers came today during times that could have been stressful and teary and provided laughter and normal conversations which I treasured.

Chris and I will sleep here with lainee again.  Her belly is so painful.  We pray she can rest.  My children are all out of school for the summer.  I had blocked out tomorrow to take everyone to the zoo.  Another time!  Lainee was most excited about that.  God bless her.  She’s hardly spoken today.  She whispered, “mom lay with me” .  We miss that “Lainee smile” that many of you have loved as well.

God bless her and keep her. Please hold her in your arms, Lord Jesus.

God bless her and keep her. Please hold her in your arms, Lord Jesus.

this is our little lovie right now. pray that she will feel Jesus' arms around her tonight.

this is our little lovie right now. pray that she will feel Jesus’ arms around her tonight.

Thank you so very much for reaching out to us during this time.  I’m weepy thinking of the incredible support my family is receiving from you all.  Thank you for the meals and watching my children and visiting and praying.  We are thankful and so blessed by you all.  God is so faithful.  He is sovereign.  Perfect in Love.  Constantly working, never sleeping.  He is her maker and we trust Him.  Halleluiah.

    Lullaby for Lainee and Laura Jones

    Jesus, King of angels, heaven’s light,
    Shine Your face upon Lainee tonight.
    Let no evil come into her dreams;
    Light of heaven, keep her in Your peace.

    Remind me how You made dark spirits flee, And spoke Your power to the raging sea.
    And spoke Your mercy to a sinful man;
    Remind me, Jesus, this is what we are.

    The universe is vast beyond the stars,
    But You are mindful when the sparrow falls, And mindful of the anxious thoughts That find me, surround me, and bind me . . . .

    With all my heart I love You, Sovereign Lord.
    Tomorrow, let me love You even more.
    And rise to speak the goodness of Your name Until I close my eyes and sleep again.

    Jesus, King of angels, heaven’s light,
    Hold my hand and keep me through this night. Fernando Ortego

    Praising God that they found the source of the bleeding and have stopped it. Lainee is in the best hands at Children’s. Praying that God will give her specialists the greatest possible discernment and wisdom as they continue to care for her. Laura, continue to trust God’s leading and that warrior Mama’s perception He has given to you. You are Lainee’s best advocate now. Rest in the assurance that you are all continually covered in prayers of intercession for Lainee. We are asking God to place His angels on every side of Lainee’s bed to guard and protect her, to minister to her, and to bathe her in His almighty love. Looking forward to seeing her beautiful smile again!

    Cole was a classmate of Lainee’s this year and he wanted to say hi to Lainee and let you know that he has been praying for her. He was so sad to hear that she was sick. Our family is praying for Lainee and your entire family. I spent a few days at Children’s Hospital in August with one of my kids and there is no better place and Lainee is in great hands there.

    Dear Laura,

    May God continue to fill you with hope as you wait for answers. He loves Lainee even more than you do. I pray that you will feel His loving arms upholding you.

    Praying for you Laura and your dear Lainee. Thanks for sharing your faith through this journey! I’ve been reading your updates every day. It sure helped me yesterday when I found myself at the hospital with my son, Ben. He is diabetic and was throwing up all day yesterday so he spent last night at DeVos Children’s Hospital in GR. I remembered to grab my Bible as I was heading out the door (I thought of you and one of your updates). Anyway, thanks for sharing. Your faith is an inspiration and very convicting for me as I face my own situations. Praying for answers for Lainee and continued strength and peace for you and Chris.
