IMG_4268 IMG_4265we wanted to close the day on some nice things…

Lainee has been responding well to the medicine she is getting.  These medicines are helping out in the areas where some of her organs are not performing correctly…I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.  We are encouraged and waiting to see how she responds as the different med and fluids are decreased.  Again…Why or What?  No answers.  We know what God wants us to know.  We know we LOVE that smile.  Lainee wants to come home….

Thank you for the prayers, we have seen a great turn around.  praise the LORD

more updates tomorrow.

    I was just reading Scripture to pray over your family when I thought I’d check one more time before going to sleep to see if there was any more news. I was greeted by the most beautiful of pictures. Thank you, Jesus, for that smile we love. What a gift! Keep holding them tightly, Father.

    That looks more like the Lainee that we know! So happy to see the big smile – it certainly brings a smile to our faces. We continue to pray for healing and wisdom / insight for her medical team. To God be the glory!

    PSALM 103
    Praise the Lord, my soul;
    all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
    2Praise the Lord, my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits—
    3who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
    4who redeems your life from the pit
    and crowns you with love and compassion,
    5who satisfies your desires with good things
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
    6The Lord works righteousness
    and justice for all the oppressed.
    7He made known his ways to Moses,
    his deeds to the people of Israel:
    8The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
    slow to anger, abounding in love.
    9He will not always accuse,
    nor will he harbor his anger forever;
    10he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
    11For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
    12as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
    13As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
    14for he knows how we are formed,
    he remembers that we are dust.
    15The life of mortals is like grass,
    they flourish like a flower of the field;
    16the wind blows over it and it is gone,
    and its place remembers it no more.
    17But from everlasting to everlasting
    the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
    and his righteousness with their children’s children—
    18with those who keep his covenant
    and remember to obey his precepts.
    19The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
    and his kingdom rules over all.
    20Praise the Lord, you his angels,
    you mighty ones who do his bidding,
    who obey his word.
    21Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
    you his servants who do his will.
    22Praise the Lord, all his works
    everywhere in his dominion.
    Praise the Lord, my soul.

    Before going to bed, every morning, and as the Spirit reminds throughout the day I pray. What a thrill this morning to see the smile!!! Thank You, LORD!
    Yes, you know exactly what HE wants you to know. HE knows the size and position of each galaxy in the universe and their names. HE creates the very atoms in our bodies, and holds them all together. And, as I reminded myself when my hair was thinning due to cancer last fall, HE knows the number of hairs on that precious little girl’s head. This is no surprise to HIM, and HE has not lost one second of sleep with worry.
    I am praying that your trust in HIM stays strong, that HIS very holy presence continues to permeate that room, that the Holy Spirit hovers over Lainee’s bed bringing peace and healing.
    What we DO know is that the one who created Lainee cares. Her creator has all power in this situation. He has enlisted HIS army of prayer warriors to join the fight in this unseen battle. We can trust the God who loves!
    Be assured, you are not alone as you observe Our Lord battling the powers of darkness in that little hospital room. HE alone IS the light of the world. The darkness HAS to flee! And you are each loved, so very very much.
    Please tell Lainee that Valerie from first grade is praying for her, and says Hi.

    Praise God! Erik has been praying that Lainiee starts feeling better. We planted some Zinia’s in our back yard because Erik liked that he had a friend named Zinia from school! Now we say a little prayer for Zinia’s sister every time we water them! Thanks for the updates.

    Waking up to that smile this morning is making our day over here! Lainee, all the Lantry Kids gathered around and smiled a big smile back at you! So thankful for your sweet little life, you are precious in God’s sight!

    Praise The Lord for the good news. Praying for continued healing and Lainee’s body to resume the work of the meds. So wonderful to see the beautiful pictures…especially of her sweet smile. May you also pass along that a blessing and prayer it lifted for her neighbor. May his peace reside in the hearts of all who know him and for those that do not, that they will see the light and allow him to enter in.

    Stay strong! Praying for your whole family!

    Laura, your post and Lainee’s smile have made my day. I’m a fairly new reader and have been so, so moved by your experience with Lainee. I have a 7 yr old daughter who was born in Viet Nam who’s a beta Thal. minor carrier and experienced febrile seizures when she was younger. I know it’s a very, very different situation, but I keep seeing and feeling myself in your shoes. I just wanted you to know that I’m praying for your sweet daughter and your whole family. Please tell Lainee that she has friends in NJ thinking of her <3

    Hi Lainee Grace! I am SO Happy to see your beautiful Smile today! I went to bed last night and fell asleep while Praying for Jesus to Heal you. And, I woke up this morning and whispered a Prayer that you would be better and then I saw your face! Praises to Jesus, for making you feel better. I love you, Sweet Little Friend!

    Dear Laura and Chris ~ God is so Good, ALL of the time! I will continue to pray for your precious daughter. I want to share that I had a similar medical crisis, a few years back. Complete liver and the kidney failure. We never really found out exactly why. Possible a seizure medication that I had recently started. It was frightening and painful. But, once again, as He had done several times before, I was Healed! He held me Close to Him during those days in ICU. It took a couple of weeks, but my liver functions improved and my skin turned to it’s normal color (I turned a dark gold color in just hours!) and my kidneys began to function. My blood started clotting normally and the abdominal swelling decreased. And, I will forever give Thanks for His Healing Touch! I Believe in that same Healing Touch for your Lainee Grace. Know that I am also praying for you two, as you stay by Lainee’s bedside. For Strength and for Peace. Praise God, she has a Mama and Papa to love her during/through the pain! I’m also praying for your other children and the caregivers who are ministering to them at home. Much Love in and through our Heavenly Father. ~ Jo
