Hi, I’m Laura and I started blogging when we traveled to China the spring of 2011 to bring home two of our daughters.  This journal continues the journey and updates friends and family and others who are interested in our family.  I did not intend for this to carry on as long as it has, and it may end on any given day.  But, I will say it is an easy way to keep you updated and we are grateful for your prayers. Our family is 10 members.  Chris is my man! We have been married for 17 years.  We have four biological children, one 10 year old son who was adopted from Ethiopia at ten years old in the fall of 2012 and three daughters who were born in China.  Our oldest son is 15, Christopher.  Jonah is 14, Noah 12, Gigi 11,Luke 10, Mimi 8, Zinnia 8, and Lainee 7.  We traveled to China in 2005 to bring home Mimi when she was 8 months old.  The spring of 2011 we brought home Zinnia and Lainee when they were 6 and 7 years old.  Both of the girls have a blood disorder (thalassemia beta) that requires biweekly blood transfusions etc.  We consider Christ as our King and hope this blog is an encouragement to you as well as an update resource for those of you who pray for our family.

My email is ljones500@yahoo.com

I would consider it a joy to pray for you or answer any questions about the adoption journey or any questions on the treatment of thalassemia beta.

Laura, I am in tears as I read through this blog… the privilege of getting to live in your home for a summer just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter, as I see God continuing to intersect our lives in incredible and miraculous ways! Your story, your total commitment to God, passion for knowing His heart, surrendering to His will, complete obedience is strengthening, motivating, encouraging, and brings me to a new flint-like determination to say YES no matter what the cost is – because, obviously, the giddy JOY of obeying Him so much outweighs any cost involved! So much love… Carolyn

Apparently you are the one I need to talk to! Seth is in Mimi’s class, and I keep hearing from different people that you are the one to talk to regarding learning anything and everything about adoption! I’d love to talk one day, if you ever have a spare moment! We’ve been praying for your family, what a blessing you are to those children!!

I have heard so much about you from people in our China adoption group and WCGS friends. We brought our daughter home in December. It was great to read your journal!

    Dear Chris,Laura and family,
We are a WCGS family and my daughter Alyssa was in class this past year with Noah.
My heart aches for your dear little Lainee and I want you to know that we have been praying for her daily!
Your courage and strength is so inspiring to me! God is good and he will continue to carry you and Lainee in the palm of his hand.
